Wie verantwoordelijk is

De verwerkingsverantwoordelijke is the operator of carroms.net, postal address available on request. Contact: contact@carroms.net.

Each event is run by an organizer, such as a club or federation, who enters the players and their results under our terms. Before entering you, the organizer must tell you that taking part publishes your name, club, country, results and rating, and point you to this notice. You can contact the organizer or us.

Wat wij verwerken

• Players: name, nickname, sex, nationality, club or federation, photo, date of birth, email and phone if entered, a WhatsApp opt-in if recorded, language, results, board scores, ratings, achievements, and when and by whom it was recorded that you were told the entry terms, or that your record was anonymised.
• Account holders: email, name, password (stored hashed by our sign-in provider), language, time zone, roles, last sign-in, records you own, follows, notification settings and push subscriptions. Anyone can read, through the site's public data interface, an account's name, the players, clubs, championships, tournaments and ratings it owns and the clubs it manages, but nothing else about it.
• Visitors: pages viewed, counted without cookies and without the secret part of scoring links; the IP address and browser details every request carries, which our hosting and database providers (Vercel and Supabase) record in their request logs, and in their sign-in logs when you sign in; what you send through the feedback form, together with the page you were on, the page you came from, the player you picked on the home page and technical details of your device; settings kept only in your browser.
• Scorebijhouders die het QR-label van een tafel gebruiken: de ingevoerde scores en het tijdstip daarvan. Er is geen account nodig.
• Clubs en federaties: de naam, het embleem, de website en het contact-e-mailadres die hun managers invoeren, worden gepubliceerd op de pagina van de club en in exportbestanden.

Uw naam in gepubliceerde uitslagen

Taking part in an event on this site means that your name, club, country, results and rating are published: on its pages, in its printouts and exports, and through its public data interface. No player's name is hidden. This is a condition of entry: a player who does not accept it cannot be entered.

Your email, phone number, date of birth, WhatsApp choice and language are never published.

A photo is published only if you agree to it: the organizer who adds it must have your agreement and be able to show it. It is not a condition of entry, and you can have it removed at any time.

You can object to the publication of your name at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, for example a risk to your safety: ask the organizer of your event, or us as set out under Your rights. Unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for publishing it that override your interests, rights and freedoms, your record is then anonymised: your name is replaced in the database itself by a random pseudonym, such as "X3fa9c21 P07be4d5", that is not calculated from it. Who did it and when is recorded.

Anonymising also removes your nickname, contact details and photo, and cannot be undone. Your results stay in the sporting record under the pseudonym, so people who know which events you played in may still recognise them. Copies made earlier are not changed: a page or printout the site cached can still show your name for up to about an hour, our encrypted backups keep the old record for up to 14 days, and copies that others downloaded or printed before are beyond our reach.

Pagina's van toernooien, kampioenschappen en clubs kunnen in zoekmachines verschijnen; pagina's over één speler zijn gemarkeerd om niet te worden geïndexeerd.

Waarom, en op welke rechtsgrond

• Running events and publishing results, standings and ratings with the players' names, clubs and countries: our and the organizers' legitimate interest in organizing and reporting sport (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). This does not rest on your consent. Separately, publication is a condition of entering an event, as described above, and you may object to it at any time.
• Photos: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), given to the organizer who adds the photo, which you can withdraw at any time by asking the organizer or us to remove it.
• Accounts: om de dienst te leveren waarvoor u zich hebt geregistreerd (art. 6, lid 1, onder b, AVG).
• Meldingen: uw toestemming, die u in Instellingen kunt intrekken (art. 6, lid 1, onder a, AVG).
• Beveiliging, foutrapporten en cookievrije bezoekersstatistieken: gerechtvaardigd belang bij een veilige, functionerende dienst.
• Feedback: om die te beantwoorden en de app te verbeteren (gerechtvaardigd belang).

Ratings worden automatisch berekend op basis van uitslagen. Er zijn voor u geen rechtsgevolgen aan verbonden en ze treffen u ook niet anderszins in aanmerkelijke mate.

Wie ons helpt

Wij verkopen geen persoonsgegevens. Deze aanbieders verwerken ze voor ons:

• Supabase — database, inloggen en bestandsopslag (Singapore).
• Vercel — voert de serverfuncties van de site (Singapore) uit, levert de pagina's van de site en telt bezoeken zonder cookies.
• De pushdienst van uw browser, bijvoorbeeld van Google, Mozilla of Apple — bezorgt meldingen die u hebt ingeschakeld.
• Onze e-mailprovider — verstuurt e-mails voor het inloggen en voor wachtwoorden.
• Sentry — foutrapporten van de app, waaruit tokens, cookies en e-mailadressen zijn verwijderd (Frankfurt, Germany).
• GitHub — voert onze nachtelijke back-up van de database en de herstelcontrole daarvan uit, en bewaart de versleutelde back-ups 14 dagen.
• PayPal — alleen als u ervoor kiest te doneren, onder de eigen voorwaarden van PayPal.

Lettertypen en vlaggen worden vanaf deze site geleverd; uw browser neemt daarvoor met niemand anders contact op.

Gegevens buiten uw land

Sommige aanbieders zijn in andere landen gevestigd. Wanneer gegevens uw regio verlaten, worden ze beschermd door de contractuele waarborgen van de aanbieders. The safeguards are the European Commission's standard contractual clauses; providers certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework may rely on it instead. A copy of the clauses is available from us on request.

Hoe lang wij gegevens bewaren

• Uitslagen en de spelersgegevens die daarvoor nodig zijn: bewaard als sportarchief. Bij het anonimiseren van spelersgegevens wordt de naam vervangen en blijven de uitslagen behouden.
• E-mail, telefoon en geboortedatum: totdat de organisator of wij ze op verzoek verwijderen, of totdat de spelersgegevens worden geanonimiseerd.
• Accounts: totdat u uw account verwijdert in Instellingen.
• Feedback: 12 maanden.
• Meldingen in de app: 90 dagen.
• Pushabonnementen: 24 maanden nadat u ze hebt ingeschakeld, of totdat uw browser ze beëindigt.
• Vastleggingen van scorewijzigingen: verwijderd zodra ze 13 maanden oud zijn en hun evenement is afgesloten.
• Onze versleutelde back-ups van de database worden 14 dagen bewaard, zodat gegevens die hier zijn verwijderd binnen 14 dagen ook daaruit verdwenen zijn. Eigen back-ups en logbestanden van onze aanbieders: Supabase keeps its backups of the database and its logs for at most 7 days, so data deleted here is gone from them within 7 days; Vercel keeps the server's request logs for at most a day; Sentry keeps error reports for at most 90 days and deletes its backups of them 90 days after they are made.

Uw rechten

You can ask for a copy of your data, have it corrected, restrict its use, receive your account data in a portable form, and withdraw any consent you gave, such as for your photo or for notifications. You can object to the publication of your name and ask for your data to be erased: for a player, both are carried out by anonymising the record, as described above, because results stay in the sporting record. You can complain to a data protection authority, for example the authority of the EU or EEA country where you live, work or believe your rights were infringed (GDPR Art. 77) or, in India, the Data Protection Board of India once it accepts complaints.

Ask the organizer of your event or write to contact@carroms.net; we answer within one month. Account holders can rename or delete their account in Settings. A players manager or an administrator corrects a player, removes a photo or anonymises the record on the player's edit page.

Cookies en browseropslag

Only what the site needs: a sign-in cookie, a language cookie, and browser storage for your theme, sidebar, display preferences such as filters, tabs and sort order, the player you picked and your notification subscription. A phone scoring a table keeps the boards it has entered until they are saved, for at most 48 hours, and the site keeps a copy of its offline page. No advertising or tracking cookies.

Jeugdspelers
