Each event is run by an organizer, such as a club or federation, who enters the players and their results under our terms. Before entering you, the organizer must tell you that taking part publishes your name, club, country, results and rating, and point you to this notice. You can contact the organizer or us.

Qué datos tratamos

• Players: name, nickname, sex, nationality, club or federation, photo, date of birth, email and phone if entered, a WhatsApp opt-in if recorded, language, results, board scores, ratings, achievements, and when and by whom it was recorded that you were told the entry terms, or that your record was anonymised.
• Account holders: email, name, password (stored hashed by our sign-in provider), language, time zone, roles, last sign-in, records you own, follows, notification settings and push subscriptions. Anyone can read, through the site's public data interface, an account's name, the players, clubs, championships, tournaments and ratings it owns and the clubs it manages, but nothing else about it.
• Visitors: pages viewed, counted without cookies and without the secret part of scoring links; the IP address and browser details every request carries, which our hosting and database providers (Vercel and Supabase) record in their request logs, and in their sign-in logs when you sign in; what you send through the feedback form, together with the page you were on, the page you came from, the player you picked on the home page and technical details of your device; settings kept only in your browser.

Su nombre en los resultados publicados

Taking part in an event on this site means that your name, club, country, results and rating are published: on its pages, in its printouts and exports, and through its public data interface. No player's name is hidden. This is a condition of entry: a player who does not accept it cannot be entered.

Your email, phone number, date of birth, WhatsApp choice and language are never published.

A photo is published only if you agree to it: the organizer who adds it must have your agreement and be able to show it. It is not a condition of entry, and you can have it removed at any time.

You can object to the publication of your name at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, for example a risk to your safety: ask the organizer of your event, or us as set out under Your rights. Unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for publishing it that override your interests, rights and freedoms, your record is then anonymised: your name is replaced in the database itself by a random pseudonym, such as "X3fa9c21 P07be4d5", that is not calculated from it. Who did it and when is recorded.

Anonymising also removes your nickname, contact details and photo, and cannot be undone. Your results stay in the sporting record under the pseudonym, so people who know which events you played in may still recognise them. Copies made earlier are not changed: a page or printout the site cached can still show your name for up to about an hour, our encrypted backups keep the old record for up to 14 days, and copies that others downloaded or printed before are beyond our reach.

Por qué y con qué base jurídica

• Running events and publishing results, standings and ratings with the players' names, clubs and countries: our and the organizers' legitimate interest in organizing and reporting sport (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). This does not rest on your consent. Separately, publication is a condition of entering an event, as described above, and you may object to it at any time.
• Photos: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), given to the organizer who adds the photo, which you can withdraw at any time by asking the organizer or us to remove it.
• Cuentas: para prestar el servicio en el que se registró (art. 6.1.b)).
• Notificaciones: su consentimiento, que puede retirar en Configuración (art. 6.1.a)).
• Seguridad, informes de errores y estadísticas de visitantes sin cookies: interés legítimo en un servicio seguro y operativo.

Los ratings se calculan automáticamente a partir de los resultados. No producen efectos jurídicos en usted ni le afectan significativamente de modo similar.

Quién nos ayuda

No vendemos datos personales. Estos proveedores los tratan por cuenta nuestra:

• Supabase — base de datos, inicio de sesión y almacenamiento de archivos (Singapore).
• Vercel — ejecuta las funciones de servidor del sitio (Singapore), entrega sus páginas y contabiliza las visitas sin cookies.
• El servicio push de su navegador, por ejemplo, Google, Mozilla o Apple — entrega las notificaciones que ha activado.
• Nuestro proveedor de correo electrónico — envía los correos de inicio de sesión y de contraseña.
• Sentry — informes de errores de la aplicación, de los que se eliminan los tokens, las cookies y las direcciones de correo electrónico (Frankfurt, Germany).
• GitHub — ejecuta nuestra copia de seguridad nocturna de la base de datos y su prueba de restauración, y conserva las copias de seguridad cifradas durante 14 días.
• PayPal — solo si decide hacer una donación, conforme a los términos propios de PayPal.

Las fuentes y las banderas se sirven desde este sitio; su navegador no contacta con nadie más para obtenerlas.

Datos fuera de su país

Algunos proveedores tienen su sede en otros países. Cuando los datos salen de su región, están protegidos por las garantías contractuales de los proveedores. The safeguards are the European Commission's standard contractual clauses; providers certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework may rely on it instead. A copy of the clauses is available from us on request.

Cuánto tiempo los conservamos

• Resultados y registros de jugadores que estos necesitan: se conservan como historial deportivo. Anonimizar un registro sustituye su nombre y conserva sus resultados.
• Correo electrónico, teléfono y fecha de nacimiento: hasta que el organizador o nosotros los eliminemos previa solicitud, o se anonimice el registro.
• Cuentas: hasta que elimine la suya en Configuración.
• Opiniones: 12 meses.
• Notificaciones en la aplicación: 90 días.
• Suscripciones push: 24 meses después de activarlas, o hasta que su navegador las cancele.
• Registros de cambios de puntuación: se eliminan una vez que tienen 13 meses de antigüedad y su evento se ha cerrado.
• Nuestras copias de seguridad cifradas de la base de datos se conservan durante 14 días, por lo que los datos eliminados aquí desaparecen de ellas en un plazo de 14 días. Copias de seguridad y registros de actividad propios de nuestros proveedores: Supabase keeps its backups of the database and its logs for at most 7 days, so data deleted here is gone from them within 7 days; Vercel keeps the server's request logs for at most a day; Sentry keeps error reports for at most 90 days and deletes its backups of them 90 days after they are made.

Sus derechos

You can ask for a copy of your data, have it corrected, restrict its use, receive your account data in a portable form, and withdraw any consent you gave, such as for your photo or for notifications. You can object to the publication of your name and ask for your data to be erased: for a player, both are carried out by anonymising the record, as described above, because results stay in the sporting record. You can complain to a data protection authority, for example the authority of the EU or EEA country where you live, work or believe your rights were infringed (GDPR Art. 77) or, in India, the Data Protection Board of India once it accepts complaints.

Ask the organizer of your event or write to contact@carroms.net; we answer within one month. Account holders can rename or delete their account in Settings. A players manager or an administrator corrects a player, removes a photo or anonymises the record on the player's edit page.

Cookies y almacenamiento del navegador

Only what the site needs: a sign-in cookie, a language cookie, and browser storage for your theme, sidebar, display preferences such as filters, tabs and sort order, the player you picked and your notification subscription. A phone scoring a table keeps the boards it has entered until they are saved, for at most 48 hours, and the site keeps a copy of its offline page. No advertising or tracking cookies.
